Two more Actions


Trump gives Stephen Bannon (of Breitbart conspiracy-theory fame) an unprecedented position on the National Security Council usually held by Generals, while downgrading the roles of the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the director of national intelligence. The New York Times say’s “It is a startling elevation of a political adviser, to a status alongside the secretaries of state and defense, and over the president’s top military and intelligence advisers.” For more on the significance of the order, read this.


Trump signs order reducing regulations. It stipulates that any government agencies requesting a new regulation is to identify two regulations they will cut from their own departments. It’s purpose is to “help small business” by cutting regulations.   Plus this regulation is aimed at reducing the strength of the Dodd-Frank Consumer Protection Act. Shades of 2008!
